Thanks to our colleagues in Italy, the EEE-PT Working Group is pleased to announce an Italian translation of the Information Leaflet on PT schemes for sampling. The leaflet gives guidance on the application of ISO/IEC 17043 for PT providers organising PT schemes for sampling.
The Eurachem general Assembly in May 2020 saw the appointment of two new Executive Committee (EC) members - Michael Koch, from Germany, and Riin Rebane from Estonia - and the handover of the Eurachem Secretariat from Francesca Rolle (Italy) to Elena Sanchez (UK).
Thanks to the work of our colleagues in Eurolab Germany, Eurachem has issued a new German translation of the 2nd edition of the Eurachem/CITAC Guide "Traceability in Chemical Measurement".
The Guide is intended to help meet the requirements on traceability of results given in ISO/IEC 17025. It give principles and detailed guidance on establishing metrological traceability in chemical analysis. Although the guide aimed principally at testing and measurement laboratories, the principles are expected to apply from routine analysis to basic research.
The first circular for the May 2021 Eurachem workshop onTrends and Challenges in Ensuring Quality in Analytical Measurements, scheduled for May 2021 in Prague, is now available. Organised by Eurachem colleagues in the Czech Republic, the workshop will discuss experience with the revised ISO 17025:2017, present current Eurachem activities in the field of analytical QA, and discuss future challenges from both research and practical perspectives.
IUPAC and CITAC are pleased to announce the IUPAC/CITAC Webinar "Metrology, Quality and Chemometrics – Correlation of Test Results and Mass Balance Influence on Conformity Assessment" is to be held as a web-seminar, free of charge, on 21 Jan 2021, 16:00 to 18:00 IST (Jerusalem time, UTC+2 hours).

Thanks to our colleagues at Eurachem-CZ, Eurachem has published Czech translations of our Information leaflets on metrological traceability and on the use of measurement uncertainty in compliance assessment. Both leaflets give short advice relevant to implementation of ISO 17025:2017.

Eurachem are pleased to announce that we will be supporting the 3rd International Congress on Food safety and Quality, which will be held on-line, on November 10-13, 2020.
The conference will cover topics from nanotechnology to climate change in a varied scientific programme.
