Two new Information Leaflets on Proficiency Testing
The Eurachem Proficiency Testing WG has released two new leaflets to help laboratories understand how PT providers generate scores for performance assessment and what some of the statistics mean in PT reports.

RM Working group initiates survey on selection and use of Reference materials
The Eurachem Reference Materials working group is conducting a short, survey aimed to collect experience, opinions and suggestions on the selection and use of both qualitative and quantitative RMs. The survey takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete and will close on the 31st of May 2024.
The responses will be considered in the revision of the Eurachem Guide on selection and use of reference materials.
Participants are welcome to distribute the survey to contacts and on social media.

New Information Leaflet on Interlaboratory Comparisons
The joint EEE-PT Working Group has published a new Information Leaflet on "Interlaboratory Comparisons other than Proficiency testing".
The new leaflet explains the three main purposes of interlaboratory comparisons (ILCs) and how the different objectives affect the design of the comparison. This in turn has implications for how laboratories can use different ILCs as evidence of competence in meeting the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.

Method Validation Supplements now available in Italian
Thanks to the work of our colleagues at Eurachem Italia, the Method Validation Working Group is pleased to say that our two Supplementary Guides on "Planning and Reporting Method Validation Studies" and "Blanks in method validation" are now available in Italian, in a single volume.

Two new translations of Eurachem/CITAC qualitative analysis guide
Thanks to the work of our Eurachem colleagues in Germany and our CITAC colleagues in Iran, the Eurachem/CITAC joint qualitative analysis working group is pleased to announce the release of two new translations of our guide on "Assessment of performance and uncertainty in qualitative chemical analysis"., which is now additionally available in German and Farsi.
The Guide provides tools to help improve the quality of qualitative analysis and of their interpretation. The new translations are available at no charge from the Eurachem website.
