Eurachem supports World Metrology Day 2020

WMDay2020 t80May 20th is World Metrology Day. World Metrology Day recognises and celebrates the contribution of all the people who work in intergovernmental and national metrology organisations and institutes throughout the year.

This year, Eurachem marks World Metrology Day with a short video asking our Executive "How does Eurachem support global metrology?".

World Metrology Day is an annual celebration of the signature of the Metre Convention on 20 May 1875 by representatives of seventeen nations. The Convention set the framework for global collaboration in the science of measurement and in its industrial, commercial and societal applications. The original aim of the Metre Convention - the world-wide uniformity of measurement - remains as important today as it was in 1875.

The theme for World Metrology Day 2020 is Measurements for global trade.

This year - one year after the historic redefinition of the International System of Units came into force  - Eurachem has asked our Executive Committee members to tell us how they think Eurachem supports global metrology. Here's what they said.
