ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 – Experiences and challenges of implementing the revised accreditation standards

The Division of Quality Assurance of the Pancyprian Union of Chemists (PUC) and Eurachem's Education and Training Working Group (ETWG) have organised a successful series of training workshops in Cyprus. Following these, a 5th event will be organised by PUC and ETWG in Nicosia, on 12-13 March 2025.

The programme will include presentations on various aspects such as practical approaches to documenting metrological traceability, risk scenarios, uncertainty arising from sampling, use of uncertainty in conformity assessment, practical use of precision and trueness data for uncertainty evaluation, personnel qualification in a testing laboratory, QA in the academic and research laboratories; last but not least, an overview of recent publications on quality assurance, with an emphasis on recent revisions of Eurachem guides.

The event will also include presentations and practical workshop sessions. Participants are invited to submit posters and share their practical experience of quality assurance and accreditation in short presentations.

The training is oriented to personnel of accredited laboratories as well as those being prepared for their accreditation; lead assessors/assessors/technical experts; personnel of competent authorities; consultants. Colleagues from neighbouring countries and Europe are welcome!
