Welcome to Eurachem, a network of organisations in Europe having the objective of establishing a system for the international traceability of chemical measurements and the promotion of good quality practices. It provides a forum for the discussion of common problems and for developing an informed and considered approach to both technical and policy issues. It provides a focus for analytical chemistry and quality related issues in Europe.

  • Equipment and System Qualification leaflet available in Farsi

    Q pyramid FarsiThanks to hard work by our colleagues in Iran, the leaflet on Equipment and System Qualification is now available in Farsi.

    The leaflet “Fitness for the intended use of analytical equipment and systems”, introduces the role and handling of analytical equipment and systems in laboratories.

  • New Information Leaflet on performance of 'binary' tests

    The Eurachem Qualitative Analysis Working Group has released a new Information Leaflet on "Performance Assessment of Binary
    Output Examinations in Medical Laboratories".

    The leaflet introduces the use of false response rates for performance assessments and shows how confidence intervals for the different rates are used in assessment against clinical performance criteria.

    Thanks to the efforts of our colleages across Europe, the PT working group has published ten new translations - two Italian, three French and five Spanish - of five of our Information Leaflets on PT topics.
