Leaflet introducing Bayes' theorem now available in Ukrainian

Thanks to our colleagues in Ukraine, our Qualitative Analysis working group has published a Ukrainian translation of our information Leaflet on the interpretation of qualitative test results using Bayes' theorem.

The leaflet shows how the prevalence of a characteristic - in this case the prevalence of a disease - affects the interpretation of test results.

Fourth edition of our Guide to Quality in Analytical Chemistry

Eurachem is pleased to present a new Fourth edition of our Guide to Quality in Analytical Chemistry.

The Guide gives guidance on accreditation for analytical chemistry laboratories. This fourth edition reflects changes that were introduced with the publication of the 2017 version of ISO/IEC 17025.

New guide: MU from precision and recovery data

The Eurachem MU and Traceability WG is pleased to announce a new Guide covering the evaluation of measurement uncertainty from precision and trueness data.

The Guide provides a detailed approach to teh use of in-house method validation data for measurement uncertainy evaluation. Key topics include modelling how measurement uncertainty varies with concentrations, and how to handle divergent recovery values from different reference materials.

Our Qualitative Analysis working group has published a new information Leaflet on the interpretation of qualitative test results using bayes' theorem.

"Should Gabriel visit Maria? A short introduction to Bayes’ Theorem" is short story showing how the prevalence of a characteristic - in this case the prevalence of a disease - affects the interpretation of test results.
