Terms of Reference
  1. The EURACHEM Executive Committee is an elected sub-group of the EURACHEM General Assembly which will be chaired by the EURACHEM Chair and will include representatives of EURACHEM working groups, the Vice-Chair and Past Chair.
  2. The EURACHEM Executive Committee will identify, formulate and develop opinion on overall strategic, technical and policy issues (especially those of a long term nature) for consideration by the EURACHEM General Assembly.
  3. On behalf of the EURACHEM General Assembly, the EURACHEM Executive Committee will maintain a review of the overall objectives of EURACHEM, its relationship with other organisations, and the balance of its range of activities.
  4. The EURACHEM Executive Committee will be responsible for the management of EURACHEM's affairs between EURACHEM General Assembly meetings.
  5. The EURACHEM Executive will be responsible for the development of EURACHEM programmes of work on measurement, comparability and traceability issues and will develop opinion to enable EURACHEM to advise on the chemical measurement requirements and priorities of the EU Standards Measurement and Testing Programme.
  6. The EURACHEM Executive Committee has been established and will operate in accordance with the constitution agreed in the EURACHEM Memorandum of Understanding.
